About this site

A voluntary alliance

The Youth Justice Project is a voluntary alliance and an unincorporated nonprofit association under DC Code § 29-1101. The coalition is a legal entity distinct from any of its member organizations.

No legal advice

Content on this site is for general information only. Nothing here is legal advice, and reading this site does not create an attorney-client relationship with the coalition or any member organization. If you need legal help, contact a lawyer.

Coalition positions

Shared positions published here reflect coalition consensus at the time of publication. Listing as a member does not mean every member endorses every position. Members may act in their own names on any issue.

No lobbying in the coalition's name

The coalition does not lobby in its own name. When member organizations engage in lobbying on issues the coalition has discussed, they do so in their own names and under their own registrations.
